It’s true! We were recently interviewed by Sophie Pollock of the Cola Crescent! But you don’t know who “we” is in this situation do you?
I recently moved in to a creative collective house: 2 illustrators, 1 writer & 1 me. I call it the Pretty Weird Art House. Other people call it the “new modern family”. Moving into a house of creatives has been both inspiring and intimidating. Putting up this site and calling myself an artist and selling my work has been nerve wracking. On the one hand it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. On the other hand feeling of fear and inadequacy have always followed me. Despite all the gloomy demons in my head this move has been this most encouraging, heathy decision I’ve made in years. For the first time in my life I have space in my home to create and make all the things in my head a reality.
A few weeks ago my housemates asked if I could be around for an interview. AROUND. What I thought was going to be a short moment of me just saying “Hi” turned into several hours of a video interview! Not what I was prepared for. I am not a huge fan of the way I look at present, BUT this article has been so validating. Having someone from the outside look in and be so impressed by what you do is the most encouraging thing in the world.
So enough from me. Here is Sophie’s beautiful article.

And (mildly terrifying at the time) video interview.
And this is Pretty Weird Art!
